Liphook V Churt North 12th October 2011

17 Oct

On a beautiful sunny saturday morning Churt North played the Liphook Bears. The game started with Churt being pushed back but the defence held firm and an outstanding double save from Oscar Shaw ensured that it remained 0-0. As the half wore on Churt began to have more of the play and with Harry forcing some good saves from the Liphook goalie: I felt a goal was just around the corner.

Half time arrived with neither team on top and a 0-0 scoreline.

In the second half Harry made way for Oliver who instantly caused some problems for Liphook with his clever runs.

After 10 minutes of the second half with the scores still level Cameron ran from the halfway line through Liphook’s defence and just when he was about to shoot a last ditch tackle saved Liphook.

A few moments later the deadlock was broken when Liphook scored at the near post. This was harsh on Churt.

Churt kept on pushing for the last few minutes but could not get the equaliser they deserved.

Team: Oscar, Caspar, Cameron, Ben, Arthur, Harry, Finn, Marco, Oliver

Photography at Football Matches

10 Oct

A brief note from Anne Tutt, our Welfare officer, regarding photography at Churt Juniors’ matches..

The Club hopes that spectators will enjoy watching matches and will not feel inhibited from taking photographs if they wish to do so. It is also hoped that families at The Club will share some of their photographs on the web site. No specific permission is required to take photographs during a match, however, it is good practice to consult the manager of the opposing team and to take on board any objections that the opposing team may have. All parents of Club players will be asked whether they consent to photographs of their child/children being published on the web site, local newspaper etc . Any photographs used in the public arena will not name individual players in such a way that they can be identified from the photograph.

If you have any concerns or questions please address them to Anne Tutt (Club Welfare Officer).
