Half time arrived with neither team on top and a 0-0 scoreline.

In the second half Harry made way for Oliver who instantly caused some problems for Liphook with his clever runs.

After 10 minutes of the second half with the scores still level Cameron ran from the halfway line through Liphook’s defence and just when he was about to shoot a last ditch tackle saved Liphook.

A few moments later the deadlock was broken when Liphook scored at the near post. This was harsh on Churt.

Churt kept on pushing for the last few minutes but could not get the equaliser they deserved.

The Club hopes that spectators will enjoy watching matches and will not feel inhibited from taking photographs if they wish to do so. It is also hoped that families at The Club will share some of their photographs on the web site. No specific permission is required to take photographs during a match, however, it is good practice to consult the manager of the opposing team and to take on board any objections that the opposing team may have. All parents of Club players will be asked whether they consent to photographs of their child/children being published on the web site, local newspaper etc . Any photographs used in the public arena will not name individual players in such a way that they can be identified from the photograph.

Churt Under 7’s First away match saw them playing Fleet Spurs on a sunny day in Fleet.

The first that the Churt South supporters knew that they were becoming infamous for their shrieking and hollering was when they were all ushered to the touchline farthest from the club house to avoid any ‘trouble’. Judging by the subsequent decibel levels this arrangement was for the best

Churt South, at full strength, immediately swarmed out of their own half towards the opponent’s goal as wasps whose nest has been kicked. Within what seemed like seconds, Patrick broke through the defence and smashed the ball into net on his way to an amazing 10 minute hatrick. Silence from one touch line and predictable mayhem from the other

The winning battle ground where the game was won involved the midfiled terriers of Louis, Archie and James stopping the fleet attack and sending the Churt attackers on their way.

It was all goal action for the rest of the second half – Toby joined the fray and shortly found the goal from an impossible angle from the left. The mobile pack of defender/midfielders stifled any attempted comeback from Fleet with notable contributions from Jo and Finn, whose ability to find players with their passes shone. More goals from Jo, Toby and Will with a consolation for Fleet Spurs meant the half time score was 6-1.

In the second half Jo completed his own hat trick, Toby secured his brace and Charlie emerged from goal to frighten the opposition with his running and determined tackling.

The Churt final tally was completed by a rested Patrick with a long range curling kick that slid past the right hand post for his fourth goal. The end of the game was only marred by an injury to the Fleet star player with an unfortunate tumble after a tackle that saw him having to be helped off – initial medical examination suggests no lasting physical injury.

Well done everybody and time for those Churt supporters to rest their voices; next Saturday sees Churt in action at home against traditional rivals Hartley Wintney Hawks and training for Churt South
